On average, we see household water usage range from 10–20 units per person per month. However, actual usage can vary significantly depending on your household size, daily routines, and water consumption habits.
For example, a household of four would typically be expected to use approximately 40–80 units of water per month.
Please understand these are estimates pulled off google there can be a lot of factors that could change these numbers. (example how old or new your appliances are.)
average shower uses 3 gallons per minute. 10 minute shower = 30 gallons
average toilet flush = 3 gallons
average washing machine = 20 gallons PER LOAD
average dishwasher = 6 gallons PER LOAD
hand washing dishes = 20 gallons per load
one bath =30 gallons
Going off our figures from the daily tasks question this is how we would average a person using 10 units (1,000 gallons of water) a month.
one 10 minute shower every other day = 450 gallons
toilet being flushed just 5 times a day 30 days a month = 450 gallons
one load of laundry a week = 80 gallons
one load of dishes in a dishwasher every other day = 90 gallons
total water used off these figures 1,070 gallons
the amount of water used adds up alot faster then most people think.
